typo3 media ressources without translation

You can use the typo3 page media ressources in many scenarios. Sometimes, in multilaguage typo3 pages, you don't want to translate your media-files. You can remove the field media from the pageOverlayFields. Now, all languages share the same values in the media-field.

The default value for $TYPO3_CONF_VARS[’FE’][’pageOverlayFields’] is "uid,title,subtitle,nav_title, media,keywords,description,abstract,author,author_email,url,urltype,shortcut,shortcut_mode"
You can change that with the following line in your localconf.php

typo3conf/localconf.php

$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['FE']['pageOverlayFields'] = "uid,title,subtitle,nav_title,keywords,description,abstract,author, author_email,url,urltype,shortcut,shortcut_mode";

typo3conf/localconf.php

$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['FE']['pageOverlayFields'] = "uid,title,subtitle,nav_title,keywords,description,abstract,author, author_email,url,urltype,shortcut,shortcut_mode";
