use imapsync to migrate email accounts

Imapsync is a unseful command line tool that allows incremental and recursive IMAP transfers from one email account to another.

Installation

Usage

If you add the option '--dry' to the command, then you can see what would happen if you execute the command but no emails are actually transfered.

You have to change EMAILADRESS, OLDPASSWORD and NEWPASSWORD in the following examples.

Examples

imapsync --fast --host1 OLDMAILSERVER --user1 EMAILADRESS --password1 OLDPASSWORD --authmech1 PLAIN --host2 sslmailpool.ispgateway.de --user2 EMAILADRESS --password2 NEWPASSWORD --port2 993 --ssl2 --authmech2 PLAIN --dry
